Globalfest 2012 – the faces…

Just this morning I read a blog about the Ku Klux Klan still being alive in the USA.  While I’m saddened, I’m not naive and know racial intolerance still exists world-wide…. even here in generally accepting Canada.

That said, I’d like to focus on the positive aspects of culture and what better way than to showcase some of the diverse faces I’ve captured at Globalfest 2012 this past week.  “GlobalFest’s mandate as a not-for-profit society is to produce an inclusive, world class, multi-faceted arts and culture festival that celebrates and showcases cultural diversity and artistic excellence within our communities and across the globe.

The warmth of the people, the talent of the artists and the diversity of cultures represented have been truly amazing.  I’m so proud to be part of a city that embraces celebrations such as this – and from the looks on the faces of these individuals, so are they!
