Sneak-A-Peek: Kathy & Family

What better way to start a gorgeous summer’s morning than with a trip down to the stunning Fish Creek Provincial Park in south Calgary.  Entering from the Bow Valley Ranch side is something I’ve never done before.  (We’re from the north end of town and this ‘the deep south’. )

Kathy, Roger and their three gorgeous daughters were taking advantage of Kathy’s photo-session raffle prize from the MEOW Rocks concert.  She told me she’d put most of her tickets in my prize bag because they hadn’t had family photos done in years.

From manicured gardens, historical buildings & equipment, to cycling trails and grassy fields complete with pheasant families (we startled one – although I think they got the last laugh), this is a gorgeous venue.

Just a taster of the day…

  1. LOL the complete opposite of my family! Lovely, lovely photos!

  2. Hmmm – maybe the families should get together LOL.

  3. Even though I grew up in cowboy/cowgirl country, I had never seen a woman wearing a dress and boots until a couple of days ago, here in San Diego of all places. I was at a restaurant that turned into a bar at 10:00 p.m. and they were teaching the two step and line dancing. All of the ladies on the floor were in dresses or hot pants and boots. It just looked weird.

    • HA HA – can’t picture it in San Diego, but see it routinely here, particularly during Stampede Week in early July. That’s actually how this started, they wanted a ‘fun’ shot so brought the boots with them.
