I know, it’s not officially meteorlogical or astronomical winter. That said, nobody told Mother Nature.
Even though Bowness is less than 10 minutes drive from my house, somehow their community managed to get about triple the light fluffy snow that we had. Sitting atop hoar frosted trees, it looked magical. Even better, temp was about -10C with none of the wind NW Calgary is known for. I got to play in the snow for over an hour without freezing!
And this is what I came away with…
Note: I had mentioned in my previous post that access to Bowness Park has been somewhat decimated. For those looking to go, there is still parking near the entrance of the park, and walking trails are accessible. It’s road access that has been reduced by about 75%.
